My husband and I moved to New Mexico this year and we decided to buy a home in Placitas. We were driving around one Sunday and decided to stop in at La Puerta Realty to see what was available. We met Mindy Prokos that day and we told her what we had in mind. Something funky and in a great price range. We didn't have to do much. When we met to look at houses, she had picked out about a dozen homes that were good for us. The last house we looked at was the house we wanted. It was an old fixer upper that needed some "tender loving care," but had an incredible view. There was a hole in the ceiling and some roof damage but Mindy took care of everything. She made sure there were multiple inspections, and negotiated with the owners about repairs. She went way out of her way to make sure that this difficult deal went through and my husband and I trusted her completely.
